3.44.0 — The “Leave a review” link actually works

September 2026

• Fixed: the review link went to a dead page. Atlassian retired the Marketplace URL the app was using for reviews, and it now returns an API error instead of the listing. Anyone who clicked “Leave a review” landed on that error — which, together with the bug fixed in 3.43.0, is why the prompt has never worked. It now opens the live reviews tab.

3.43.0 — The review prompt comes back

• Fixed: the review prompt could silence itself permanently. Clicking “Leave a review” marked the prompt as answered before trying to open the Marketplace page. When that navigation failed, the prompt closed for good — so anyone who tried to leave a review was left unable to, and never asked again. It now opens the page first and only records your answer if that worked. Anyone affected will see the prompt again.

3.42.0 — Markers

• Timeline markers — a named, coloured vertical line for any date that isn’t a Jira issue: a release, a go-live, a steering meeting. Add them from … → Markers…; they are saved with the project and shown to everyone who opens it.
• Links that fail now tell you — if the app can’t open an external page for you, it shows the address with a one-click copy instead of quietly closing.

3.41.0 — A tooltip that earns its place

September 2026

• Hover now shows dependencies and float — the tooltip lists what blocks a task and what it blocks, with issue keys, link type and lag, plus the total float from the critical-path calculation: either how many days of slack a task has, or that it has none and any slip moves the end date. Both were already being computed and thrown away.
• Baseline drift, at a glance — if a baseline is saved, the tooltip says how many days ahead or behind plan the task is running.
• Fixed: tooltip colours in dark mode — the status, overdue and progress colours were hard-coded light-theme values, so the overdue badge appeared as a pale pink block on a dark tooltip. Every colour now follows your Jira theme.
• Export identifies its rows — bars now carry the issue key alongside the summary, so an exported PNG or PDF says which Jira issue each bar is.
• Removed bulk actions that did nothing — the 0/50/100%, Reassign and Delete buttons in the multi-select bar were never wired to anything and silently did nothing when clicked. They are gone until they work.

3.40.0 — Resizing works again

September 2026

• Fixed: you can change a task’s duration again — the link-drag dots sat directly on top of the resize handles and swallowed the click, so dragging a bar’s edge started a dependency instead of resizing it. The connector dots now sit just outside the bar, and the bar’s edges resize as they should.
• Connector dots show the dependency type — a filled circle is Finish → Start, a square is Start → Start, a diamond is Finish → Finish and a triangle is Start → Finish. Hollow means nothing is linked there yet. Shapes rather than colours, so they stay readable in dark mode and for colour-blind users.
• Proper in-app messages — notices used to appear as raw browser dialogs showing an Atlassian CDN address. They are now themed toasts that match your Jira theme and don’t block the page.

3.39.0 — Opens on projects without priorities

• Fixed: “Cannot read properties of null” on first open — Jira Work Management and many team-managed projects switch the Priority field off entirely. GanttBoard assumed it was always present, and one missing field took down the whole timeline. Priority, issue type and status are all read safely now; an unset priority simply shows as “None”.

3.38.0 — Opens everywhere, and feedback gets through

September 2026

• Fixed: “Failed to load Gantt Chart” on boardless projects — the timeline ordered issues by Rank, which is board-scoped. Jira Work Management projects and some service projects rejected it outright, so the very first open failed. The fetch now falls back to a different ordering instead of failing.
• Feedback no longer disappears — Send feedback used to say “opening your email” and close, even when no mail client came up. It now always shows a confirmation step with the address and a Copy message button, so there is a working path either way.
• “Something’s wrong” goes to a person — every message is read by the developer who builds GanttBoard. Nothing is sent to third parties, and nothing leaves your tenant on its own.
• The review prompt asks sooner — it still only appears after you have actually rescheduled something, but no longer waits a full week first.

3.33.0 — Configurable columns & milestone tracking

• Columns picker — a new Columns… menu to show or hide any table column (Priority, Progress, Start, Due date and more), with one-click reset. Hidden columns are now easy to bring back.
• Milestone deadline tracking — every milestone now draws a deadline marker across the timeline, colour-coded by status: red = overdue, amber = due soon, green = done, so at-risk dates jump out.

3.32.0 — Shareable snapshots

New “Share snapshot” action in the toolbar “…” menu: capture a clean, read-only image of your timeline and copy it straight to your clipboard — paste it into Slack, Confluence, email or a deck in one step (it also downloads a PNG). Every exported PNG and PDF now carries a subtle GanttBoard mark, so a shared plan is always a link back to the app. Fully Forge-native — nothing leaves your tenant.

3.30.0 — Multi-project Portfolio & cross-project dependencies

• Portfolio timeline — a new top-level GanttBoard Portfolio page (under Apps): pick several projects and see them on one colour-coded Gantt, dates editable in place.
• Cross-project dependencies — link an issue in one project to an issue in another by dragging, right-click to edit or delete.
• Editable dependency type (FS/SS/FF/SF) and lag now persist; the timeline gracefully handles service-desk projects and mixed team/company-managed field setups.
• Polish: accessible colour palette, bidirectional table scroll, visible link-drag line, right-click menu on empty space, and a calmer hover tooltip.

3.29.0 — Epic & parent rollup

Parent issues now roll up automatically. Each epic (or any parent with children) draws a slim summary bar that spans from its earliest child’s start to its latest child’s end, with a duration-weighted % complete shown above it. Summary bars are read-only — they always reflect their children, so the timeline stays in sync as you reschedule the work underneath. Multi-level hierarchies (epic → story → sub-task) roll up correctly, bottom-up.
